The CHS Debate team of 2010-2011 had a great, successful year! We have 3 people going to Texas for nationals. Alden Swallow, Safari Hufstetler, and Andrew Ross. We also took first at Congress National Qualifiers taking home the plaque!
2 weeks before the year started we had no debate coach. But, Mrs. Toone came in and saved the day! When Mrs. Toone first came into the coaching, she had no idea what she was doing! She had never done debate before, let alone dreamed of ever coaching it. However, we are very glad and grateful to have such a devoted coach and family member to join the CHS Debate Squad!
We would also like to thank are great debate president Colton Douglas. He was the key to are success this year. He was a friend to everyone and made sure everything got done, but having a party while doing it! We will miss him when he leaves at the end of the year, but we shall never forget the one and only, Colton Douglas.
