In debate, while you compete and place you gain points that go toward seals. Seals are what represent how many points you have obtained. For example once you get 25 points you get your certificate and your first seal that shows that you gained those 25 points. However, not all seals are as easy as 25. For Kai Reese for instance (a member of Clearfield High Schools Debate Team) Has 320 points the most of novice of that year. He has 4 seals and to get his 5th one, he has to earn 500 points! Now that is going to take some time. The list below will show you how the point system works.
